Liberated MindZ Publishers (LMP) evolved out of the need to create an independent publishing house that operates using all the Nguzo Saba principle and focusing on the principles of Nia and Imani (in Swahili “Nia” means purpose and “Imani” means faith).
Our mission (Nia) is to publish original quality books, manuals, and spoken word on CD of authors of Afrikan descent worldwide; to publish books whose subject matter and raw language reflects aspects of urban living; to promote writing by sponsoring special events such as book signings and readings; and to collaborate with other publishers. With Imani as our foundation, we have faith that the works published will have a positive impact and make a difference in some of the readers’ lives.
Overstanding that everyone has a story to tell, we work with authors, speakers, business professionals, and homemakers who are interested in self-publishing. In order to keep the printed word flowing, LMP utilizes a unique variety of Cooperative Publishing.
